Shawn Syverson, a partner with Big Sky Benefit Solutions has a vision to change the stiff briefcase perception for the insurance industry. Growing up in Bozeman Montana, I grew up appreciating the warmness of waving at the oncoming car driving on SpringHill road, developed toughness learning to ice skate on the rink at Hawthorne school, and a desire for business, watching my parents build several businesses growing up. I’ve spent 15 years in the industry, and am driven to a desire to bring success and happiness to clients and coworkers alike.

Born and raised in Bozeman, Montana I am lucky to call this place home! I bring over 8 years of industry experience to our team. My outgoing personality allows me to connect with Employers and Employees alike, making them feel heard and understood. With my love for learning about new industries and niches within Montana I can connect with Business owners and truly work with them to find the right benefits for their companies; applying my “Why”. I am proud of being a top sales associate for many years, earning many awards, and continuing to put my clients needs first. Calli Jackson is our office cheerleader. She’s a Bozeman native, she grew up dancing competitively and loves cheering on the Bobcats. She found her way to the Montana State University dance team and graduated from MSU in 2011 with a degree in Business Marketing. She never saw herself in the insurance industry however Aflac found her in 2013 and she quickly found her passion of working with people and helping them navigate the confusing insurance industry. She enjoys presenting benefits and educating people on how to find the right plans for themselves and their families. Calli is excited to see Big Sky Benefit Solutions become known in the community and surrounding areas as the go to for employee benefits. When Calli isn’t working she is most likely hanging out with friends, traveling, doing fun things outdoors or having a game night. She also enjoys watching Dancing with the Stars and Hallmark Movies.

I started my insurance career in 2015 and have loved every moment of it. Building lasting relationships with my clients and supporting local businesses is more than just a job—it’s what I’m passionate about. There’s nothing better than helping people protect what matters most while being part of a thriving community.

I’m proud to be a Montana native, born and raised in Billings, and now lucky to call Hamilton home. My journey took me to Bozeman in 2010, where I attended Montana State University and earned my Bachelor’s in Business in 2014.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me adventuring with my wife, Michelle, and our son, Jace. Whether we’re traveling the world, hitting the slopes, making waves on the lake, or riding horses, we love soaking up everything this incredible state and beautiful valley have to offer.

Raised in a small farming community in the Midwest and after teaching for 6 years, with 4 of those years teaching abroad. Amanda began her journey North to Montana in early 2011 and fell in love with Bozeman. Soon after arriving, Amanda’s passion for helping those around her, and her background in customer service with a smile were the building blocks that began her career in Insurance as an Administrative Assistant and have built her into a superstar property and casualty agent with experience and integrity. You can count on Amanda to be passionate, genuine, knowledgeable, and focused on your specific insurance needs for your personal/family and business needs. When Amanda is not in the office you can usually find her enjoying Bobcat football, supporting the local community or enjoying the outdoors with her family and cutest fur kid…Blue.

Brian was born in Oregon and visited Montana since he was a baby. Before he moved here and landed at Big Sky Benefit Solutions, he had a lot of different jobs in a lot of different fields ranging from landscaping, to teaching English abroad, to CNC machine operation and programming, to law. He has a lot of different skills and is particularly suited for computer use and technical, detail-oriented work. In his spare time, he enjoys taking trips to visit his friends, driving semi-trucks and racing cars in his mediocre simulator at home, screaming at Formula 1 when it’s a race weekend, meditating, and studying history, science, and other cultures.

Brittany was born in Pennsylvania, but has been living in Montana since she was 5 years old. She grew up playing volleyball and dancing competitively. Before joining our team, Brittany worked as a nanny and childcare provider for 10 years. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys camping, hunting gophers, spending time with friends and family(especially the four legged furry kind). She is well traveled and loves to learn about the history and culture of other countries. Brittany joined our team in May of 2022 and she can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!

I’m a proud native of Big Sky Country and call Billings home. I attended school here until enlisting in the U.S. Army at 17, where I served for six years before being honorably discharged. One of the things I’m most proud of is marrying my junior high sweetheart, Tammy. We’ve been together for over 40 years and have two amazing kids, Brianna and Bridger. Both are married now and have kiddo’s of their own, making me a proud grandpa.

I love spending time outdoors and enjoy everything Montana has to offer, from camping and fishing to hiking. My Golden Retriever is my loyal adventure buddy. I’ve also been an adaptive snowboard instructor at Red Lodge Mountain for over 20 years.

Before becoming a licensed insurance agent in 2019, I worked as a Broker Sales Rep in the food manufacturing industry. Now, I’m excited to be part of the Big Sky Benefit Solutions family, helping people protect what matters most.

Kelcie was born a Californian but has been a Montana girl since she was 5 years old. She grew up playing softball, entering poetry contests, and babysitting at any chance she could. Kids quickly became one of Kelcie’s passions. She babysat from the young age of 7 and eventually worked at daycares that led her to a 7-year nanny job that became family. in 2015, Kelcie met her Husband Donny and over the years they were blessed with 2 beautiful children, Jaxx 8 and Jade 5, and got married in 2019. Kelcie’s love of children led her to become a gestational carrier and carry a baby for a couple unable to carry children on their own. After a life of working with children, Kelcie decided it was time for a new adventure and when she was referred by a friend and current employee at Big Sky Benefit Solutions. She took a leap of faith and couldn’t be happier with the new chapter her in her life, learning the ins and outs of the insurance world. She looks forward to her personal growth and potential in the company in the years to come.

Montana is where I’ve always called home, but my love for adventure has taken me far beyond its beautiful landscapes. I have a secret soft spot for miniature ponies and indulge in the occasional trashy TV show—it’s my perfect guilty pleasure! Recently, I’ve found a new passion in exploring the world, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than getting to share these experiences with my two baby boys. Watching them discover new places alongside me fills me with excitement for what the future holds.

Hi I’m Zoe. I grew up in Helena, MT but moved to Bozeman to attend Montana State University. In 2023 I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Fish and Wildlife Ecology & Management. Though I thought I would want to move back to Helena after finishing school, I have fell in love with Bozeman and everything it has to offer! I’m excited to be a part of the team at Big Sky Benefit Solutions! Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, reading, traveling and spending time with my family and friends!

My name is Andrew Mckinlay-Jones. I was born in southeast Utah. Moved to Montana in 2018 after getting out of the Army and was very fortunate to be able to purchase property in Paradise Valley in 2021. I enjoy just about anything to do with the outdoors and indoors. If there is fun to be had I will at least give it a try. I started working for Big Sky Benefit Solutions last year. I decided to pursue this line of work because it is something that I have never done before. The idea of being able to help people has always been an interest to me. With the chance to ease someone’s mind so that they can focus on what is important to them how could I pass that up. I look forward to helping everyone that I meet, whether it be an ear, shoulder, or voice of reassurance that we at BSBS will be there.

I’ve been a Health & Life Insurance specialist since 2020 and a Medicare specialist since 2024. Born and raised in the small community of Park City, Montana, I developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors early on.

Before finding my career in insurance, I worked as a store manager for Verizon, then took on seasonal roles that fueled my passions—working at a fly shop in the summers and as a snowboard instructor in the winters. These experiences shaped my ability to connect with people and adapt to different challenges, ultimately leading me to the insurance industry, where I now help individuals and families navigate their coverage options with confidence.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors—fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, or riding horses. Spending time on my family’s ranch keeps me grounded, and I always appreciate the chance to enjoy Montana’s incredible landscapes.

Hi, I’m Brady. I was born in Iowa but have been in Montana since I was one month old and grew up right here in Bozeman. I tried moving away at one point but realized this is too great of a place to leave. I love the Bozeman way of life and am proud to call it home! I started with Big Sky Benefit Solutions in 2018 and I am so excited to be a part of the fun, hard-working team here, where we are all proud Montanans who love people and serving our community! When not in the office, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, spending time with family, and watching my favorite TV shows and movies.

Hi my name is Brianna Stahly. I am a native Montanan; born in Bozeman raised in Helena. I am very grateful I was able to grow up in such a beautiful place. I moved to Bozeman in 2006 to attend MSU and earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. I met my husband in 2016 and got married at my families cabin in Lincoln, MT. I’ve been blessed with two beautiful children. I worked in the service industry for the previous 8 years and in 2023 I decided it was time to expand my career and try something new and pursued getting my insurance producers license. I enjoy everything outdoors, especially hiking, golfing, playing tennis, rock hounding, and spending a week at Flathead Lake every summer with my extended family. I am very excited to be working with the team at Big Sky Benefit Solutions!

Dayton is a Montana Native, born and raised in Great Falls, MT. He went to Charles M. Russell high school and throughout his childhood played football, hockey and various other sports. He moved to Bozeman in 2007 to attend college @ Montana State for Construction Engineering. While attending college he met his beautiful wife, Calli. After college he started his own construction company doing utilities work throughout Montana and neighboring states. After getting his license in property and casualty insurance in 2020, he was offered the opportunity to join the Big Sky Benefit Solutions team to help people and companies with their insurance needs. Dayton has a love for his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and hockey.

Jamie was born in Wyoming and raised in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated from Montana State University in 2011 with a B.S. in Psychology. She went on to work in management roles in hotels/resorts and behavioral health for over 10 years before deciding to make a change and finding the insurance industry. Jamie is passionate about working with people, providing exceptional service, and contributing to her community. She enjoys all the outdoor adventures Montana has to offer year-round and is always planning the next adventure with her friends & family!

I was born and raised in South Central North Dakota, on my family’s cattle ranch, where hard work and dedication were simply a way of life. Following high school graduation, I moved to Fargo, ND where I completed my business degree with legal emphasis and then relocated to Colorado in pursuit of my career in law. In 2015 I found myself shifting my passion from law to the insurance industry and truly found my lifelong career. Over the past decade, I have enjoyed partnering with business owners and assisting with educating employees; empowering them in a newfound appreciation and peace of mind that proper insurance provides.

My family and I relocated to the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in 2018 where we quickly found ‘home’ in rural Stevensville. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, partnering with local business owners and policyholders obtain meaningful coverage, all the way to execution of claims. I have humbly served in our community as a participant with the Chamber Leadership program, Chamber Leadership Vice President, Chamber Leads member, Hamilton Downtown Association board member and numerous volunteering opportunities throughout the valley. When I am taking a break from assisting my clients and community service opportunities, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family outdoors, gardening and hunting.

Jenny was raised in the Bozeman area and attended college at Montana State University. During her college career she spent time abroad, both in Argentina and Spain. She loves to travel and spent a good portion of her 20’s traveling the world. Jenny has a passion for helping others. Before joining Big Sky Benefit Solutions she had a career in the health and wellness industry which included starting a business of her own. Jenny joined the team at Big Sky Benefit Solutions because of their drive and determination to help people protect the things that are most important to them. She has three beautiful children with her husband. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, going on adventures, and competing in powerlifting competitions.

Kathy grew up as #2 of 13 children on a small farm just east of Billings, MT. With 10 brothers, she was definitely a tomboy and enjoyed all things outdoors. Teamwork was a means of survival and developed her strong work ethic. Yet, there was still time to play high school basketball, twirl a baton, and play lots of card games as a family. The competitive spirit was instilled at an early age!
The mid-70’s led Kathy to MSU where she earned a degree in Business Finance. Her first job took her to Standard & Poor’s Compustat Services in Colorado. Upon returning to Bozeman, she worked at Buttrey’s Grocery prior to accepting a position at MSU. Kathy spent 30 years at MSU providing leadership and guidance, forecasting and analyzing complex budgets and building lasting relationships across the university system. She is an avid Bobcat alum!

Kathy joined the team in 2020. She is back to doing what she loves – building relationships and providing exceptional customer service with businesses and colleagues – all while still enjoying the beautiful outdoor lifestyle of the Gallatin Valley with family, friends and the community!

Kirbie Noble-Dewitt. She is a mother of 4 teenagers who keep her laughing and full of joy. Her and her husband are doing their best to keep up with the sports, homework, and lifestyles that their children bring to them. She was raised in Montana and loved the slow life that it offered to all it’s residents. She loves to spend time on the river fly-fishing. She loves the way that the cast is an art in itself, but she really loves pulling up those beautiful rainbow trout. She is an avid archery hunter who truly just goes to hear the bull’s bugle. She recently found a winter activity that she loves, and she plans to spend all her weekends snowmobiling in the prettiest country in the world; Montana.

Kirbie’s background is in psychology, and she worked as a case manager in the education system. She was introduced to insurance over 4 years ago and has found her love for helping people financially. Her passion is to bring solutions to businesses and employees that can help them to secure stable finances. She believes that benefits have more to offer than a checkmark on a list, and wants to help people bring about that protection to themselves

Libby (Elizabeth) Hinshaw, has been an advocate for health and wellness for her entire career. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where she majored in Health & Human Performance & Athletic Medicine, Libby previously worked for The Comfort Company, educating and assisting elder care homes on making the most of their facility budgets for seating & positioning products while also providing the best products for the patients’ health and wellbeing.

Libby’s commitment is to help individuals, families & business owners make the best decisions when it comes to their health coverage. “As a relatively new Mom, I share in a laundry list of concerns and worries that we all face,” she explains. “Making informed decisions on health insurance coverage every year allows us to adapt to our lives changing as well as the industry, giving myself & my husband Jake the peace of mind that if anything goes awry, our family will be taken care of. It’s my passion to help others find that same level of security.” She also specializes in Medicare coverage, harnessing her love of the aging population.

With a non-stop love of life and energy to match, Libby and her family are always on the go. If you don’t find her snowboarding or on the river fly fishing, you might find her at Live From the Divide taking in a concert. Libby is also a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker and on Saturdays during football season, don’t be upset if they turn you down for plans because their single priority is cheering on the Big Red!

Hi I’m Logan Stegelmeier. I grew up in Southeast Idaho until I was 10 and then in Utah until I was 20. I got married to my high school sweetheart and now we have established our own family in the Southeast Idaho area. I love doing everything outdoors with my family. Camping, fishing, hunting, dirt biking, snow biking and golf. I love what I do because it allows me to spend lots of time with the people I love!

I was born and raised in Montana, with Bozeman being home for most of my life. I moved to Bozeman in first grade and stayed until I took my first “big kid” job in Billings after earning my bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Montana State University. I worked as an engineer in Billings for nearly 10 years before realizing my passion for engineering just wasn’t there. In 2021, I took a leap of faith and pursued my license in health and life insurance, and I’ve loved helping employees and their families find coverage that best suits their lives in today’s world. What I love most about my job is seeing the relief on business owners’ faces when I provide a beneficial solution to their current business challenges.

Whether I’m on a camping trip, visiting family, or cheering on the Griz at a football game, you can bet I’m busy chasing my twin boys around with my husband, Jake. Yes, I’m a Griz fan who grew up in Bozeman and even attended MSU, so if you have as many questions about that as everyone else does, be sure to ask me next time you see me!

Wife and Mother of 3 – Grandmother of 2 plus. Having been born in Bozeman and raising our family here, I have a heart for this place. I have owned a couple of other businesses here prior to coming on board with Big Sky Benefit Solutions. Helping find affordable solutions for business owners drives me to come to work every day. Working side by side with my kids is an added bonus!

Toby was born and raised in north Texas. He married his wife, Sami, in 2006 and they have been blessed with four wonderful children. Traveling, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, Skiing, and watching movies are some of his favorite things to do with his family. He enjoys reading non-fictional books, exercising, and training Jiu Jitsu in his spare time.

Toby has a background of helping people protect their homes, families, and businesses with alarm systems. Him and his family moved to Manhattan, Montana in the summer of 2020 to serve a local church as their pastor. His desire to serve others is one of many reasons for pastoring and for being part of the team at Big Sky Benefit Solutions. Big Sky has the heart to serve others as well. This career is a perfect fit for him to keep his time flexible so that he can be there for his family, the church, and to be able to properly help people get the coverage they need for those unexpected times in life.
